Facilities
At Winnebagoe, we take pride in our well-maintained facilities and are continually updating them for the comfort and enjoyment of our campers and staff.

Amidst white birches and towering pines, spacious, functional cabins ensure the comfort of our campers. Each cabin is well-lit with the convenience of two sinks, two washrooms and a large cubby area for ample clothes storage. Two counsellors are responsible for the supervision of every cabin group and typically each cabin group consists of twelve campers. Our youngest Unit (children in Grades 2,3, and 4) has THREE counsellors in each cabin in order to ensure additional care & supervision.
The dining hall, with its lantern-shaped, sky-lit ceiling, is a bright, well-ventilated facility, which houses the entire camp during meals. Good food always brings people together and indeed our Dining Hall is the very hub of Winnebagoe.
The medical needs of our campers and staff are well-looked after by trained health care personnel. A doctor and two nurses are on site at all times and in case of emergency, the Huntsville Hospital is only a ten-minute drive away. The Center itself is well-equipped with private in-patient rooms and medications for both routine and emergency usage. Located right in the center of main camp, the facility is readily accessible for those requiring its service.
This is a state-of-the-art building where the creative talents of both campers and staff are featured throughout the summer. For those who are interested in the theatre, there is the opportunity to participate in such varied fare as Broadway musical productions, talent shows, cabin skit nights, and set and costume design. A major musical production is staged by each unit in camp and these performances are always among the highlights of the summer.
Surrounded by beautiful trees and water, this outdoor chapel is the gathering place for the entire camp on Friday nights. Following a traditional Sabbath meal, a service hosted by a unit of campers becomes the time for quiet reflection in an otherwise hectic week.
Shower houses are located on both girls and boys sides of camp. All have individual stalls for the privacy and comfort of our campers and staff.
Both Arts and Crafts and Ceramics are housed in this spacious new building. (See Activities Menu for a description of this activity).
Winnebagoe has six regulation tennis courts where instruction at all levels is provided. Teaching is carried out on both a group and individual basis according to Ontario Tennis Association standards. Inter-camp competitions, in-camp tournaments, and special programming where tennis is highlighted provide campers with additional challenge and recreation in this area.
